How does the program work?

A student begins by reading a qualifiying book from the Accelerated Reader List. Students are allowed to choose their own books and read them at their own pace. Once the student finishes the book, he/she logins to the Accelerated Reader software in their ODC classroom to take a quiz on the computer. AR’s more than 50,000 Reading Practice Quizzes help you motivate and monitor increased reading practice.

The AR program allows student and teacher to receive information. Both the student and teacher get immediate, individualized constructive feedback to direct ongoing reading practice.
