Author: Gail Karwoski She is the author of numerous picture and chapter books for children and young adults. One of her most popular texts, especially in Virginia, is Surviving Jamestown (which some of our 4th-graders are reading now). This week, in honor of National Childen's Book Week, anybody can read any of the Sylvan Dell picture books free as an ebook, so it’s a great opportunity to get acquainted with her books prior to her visit!
